I think about all of the hype and intimidation and remember that I get to photograph important people almost every day. These people have lived, loved, and succeeded in one way or another…and it makes me feel like a million bucks knowing I got to share some of those moments with them.

This sweet couple is very dear to me; they have always treated me like I belong in their family and I could not be more humbled by hearing about the decades of life they’ve spent together and their love that remains steadfast and true. Foxes, I love you and your family, so much! Thank you for letting me document the two of you enjoying your life.

So come out and see all the pretty girls and watch Kara walk across the stage one more time! You should also buy a fair book so you can see our advertisements and the pictures I took of Kara! We made the recording for her final walk and once I get home from the pageant, I will try to post it online so you can hear what she had to say!

The weather switched moods and became rainy so we were forced to move inside for the reception. Kat’s awesome family and friends came together and made the space they had to work with look beautiful! My favorite part was that I got to print out images from the ceremony and have them featured so that the guests who were not able to make it to the ceremony could see how special it was! And of course, watching everyone get down to a great band makes for a great night too!

Kat, Dan, and family, thank you so much for letting me a part of this awesome celebration! I wish you the very best in your future and life to come!

I adored the idea of the waves lapping up against the shore and seagulls singing over the ceremony as my fiancé became my husband. But, living a significant distance away from the beach just didn’t make it seem possible.

When Kathryn told me that she would be getting married at Little Gasparilla Island in Boca Grande, Florida and splitting up the celebration into a two day event, my first thought was, “How in the world is that going to work? I mean…what if it rains?!” My silly little brain just couldn’t figure it out. But Kathryn was SO content with everything about this wedding and had the best attitude about letting everything unfold just the way it was supposed to. So when the wedding day came, they had a perfectly lovely and intimate ceremony with family and friends who could attend and then held the reception the next evening back in our hometown.

And how did it all work? Well, you can see for yourself…it worked perfectly.
